Founder & Guide
Meet Desirée
I’m Desirée, a maternal and pediatric occupational therapist, and a mother to a spirited toddler who teaches me something new every day.
My journey into motherhood began long before pregnancy. I’ve lived with PCOS and endometriosis since my preteen years, and as I grew older, doctors expressed serious concerns about my ability to conceive. I spent many years navigating pain, uncertainty, and the emotional weight of being told my body might not be capable of motherhood.
Eventually, I chose to turn inward, to holistic practices that supported my nervous system, my body, and my spirit. At 32, I unexpectedly conceived. It was a moment of grace I hold with deep reverence.
But pregnancy and birth brought their own challenges. I experienced a long labor that ended in an emergency C-section, followed by birth trauma, breastfeeding difficulties, and postpartum depression and anxiety. I know what it feels like to be profoundly grateful and deeply overwhelmed at the same time. I know what it’s like to need support and not know where to find it.
Audrey’s Nest was created from this lived experience. Not just as a business, but as the kind of care I wish I had during each season of becoming a mother.
At Audrey’s Nest, I support women through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood with a whole-person approach that honors the physical, emotional, and spiritual layers of this journey. As an occupational therapist with advanced training in infant massage, lactation education, pelvic floor recovery, and energy healing, I blend evidence-based care with holistic practices grounded in both clinical expertise and compassion.
In a fast-paced world that asks women to carry more, give more, and do more, often without adequate support, I believe mothers deserve to be nurtured, held, and deeply cared for. I walk alongside women through the longings, the transitions, the healing, and the moments of self-doubt, reminding them they don’t have to navigate this alone.
No two motherhood stories are the same. Whether you’re facing fertility challenges, healing after birth, or learning how to trust yourself in a new role, I see you. I hear you.
You are not alone. And you deserve support in every season of motherhood.
Welcome to Audrey’s Nest. I’m so glad you’re here.

Who's Audrey?

Audrey is my paternal grandmother and the heart behind Audrey's Nest. After migrating from Louisiana to South Central Los Angeles, she opened her home to care for neighborhood children, creating a safe, nurturing space for mothers to leave their little ones while they worked.
Audrey also bravely battled ovarian cancer. Her strength, warmth, and legacy of community care continue to inspire this work. Audrey's Nest is named in her honor, a tribute to the love she gave and the generations she uplifted.
